Background
The only child born to Wayland and Vira Blackmoor, a well-to-do philanthropist and a world-renowned dancer, Kieran was a happy youth who spent the earliest years of his childhood wanting for nothing. His father and mother loved him, he had all the friends and toys money could afford, and steady hired help provided assistance with anything else he might require at home. He was never lonely, never afraid, and never seemed to be without a smile.

And then, shortly after Kieran turned five, Vira's staggering infatuation with thrill-seeking led to her separation from Wayland.

When last Kieran saw his mother, he was saying goodbye to her at the airport. He recalled vividly her parting words that day, words that would both haunt and shape his future. "You can have the world, Kieran. You just have to be brave enough to let go of what's holding you back."

Even at five years old he'd understood what she was really saying. No matter how much his mother still loved him, she would always love herself more.

Vira didn't look back when her flight began boarding. Silent, her husband was complicit in her abandonment of their family and, just one year later, he remarried.

Ivy Marsden was everything his mother wasn't. Kieran hated her for it. And, while he didn't hate his step-sister, Ally's idolization of him was only enough to keep Kieran rooted in that house for a handful of years more. He ran away when he was eleven. Just like his mother, he didn't look back. For two years Providence was a thing of his past, his sense of adventure and a desire to chart his own course taking him out of town and getting him into trouble—and then a chance encounter with a boy named Fionn brought him right back home again.

A similar lifestyle and frequent odd jobs made fast friends of the boys and they honed their skills and street cred along side one another. Then, when Kieran was fifteen, Fionn asked Kieran to help him start a gang. The Golden Jackals reigned supreme in Providence for three years. None of them suspected their meteoric rise would mean burning out just as fast but, shortly after becoming romantically involved with Fionn, their last heist together fell apart at the seams—literally—when a car lift buckled and dropped its load right on top of Kieran.

The accident cost him everything. His best friend and lover, whom he'd told to leave when they heard sirens approaching; his freedom when he was arrested; and his right leg which suffered so much damage that amputation from the knee down was required. With prison and rehab taking two more years off his life, Kieran was twenty before he rejoined society again, but without being able to return to the Jackals and being unwilling to return to his family, only one path was left to him...

For the second time in his life it was time to to let go and start over.

Personality
Kieran is a simple individual whose character is governed by even simpler themes: division and separation.

Permanently at odds with himself and what he desires, Kieran struggles as often between right and wrong as he does between being happy and being miserable. He wants everything he never had growing up, but despite wanting to earn it for himself rather than be handed good fortune based upon his family name, Kieran doesn't believe he deserves a happy ending. He is the king of self-sabotage, of choosing instead to let go rather than to hold onto what matters most to him, with very few exceptions to that rule. It's a lonely path to walk for someone whose greatest ambition has always been to surround himself with friends and family, and a lonely journey he embarked upon because he believed his mother when she told him it was the only way to achieve true emancipation—advice given to Kieran before she walked out of his life and never looked back. In fact, his mother's abandonment and his father's quickness to remarry are both instrumental to Kieran's way of thinking. In his mind, nothing is permanent and the only thing that matters is the here and now. Everyone is replaceable, himself most of all, so he may as well live life to the fullest and to hell with the consequences.

As a result of his low sense of self-esteem, Kieran overindulges in a number of bad behaviors that numb him to the pain of his self-inflicted loneliness: excessive use of drugs, binge drinking, picking fights, acts of promiscuity, and other forms of thrill-seeking, the more dangerous the more likely to arouse his interest. While he prides himself in his ability to endure, he also likens himself to vermin, dirty and virtually impossible to exterminate, someone whose only intrinsic value is in being useful to others. This overwhelming need to be needed is what led to Fionn and him becoming best friends, and it is also at the heart of why Kieran agreed to help Fionn form the band of thieves known as the Golden Jackals. Only through being of use to someone with such lofty ambitions could Kieran feel even briefly elevated beyond the level of human garbage.

However, despite boasting an impressively long list of black spots upon his personality, Kieran is not without a certain brilliant luster. He is undoubtedly stupid and selfish by nature, stubborn to a fault and virtually unyielding when in pursuit of what he wants, as greedy as he is self-serving, but he is also someone whose rakish tendencies fall by the wayside when he is presented with the decision to choose between himself and someone else. While Kieran lives to bring joy to others and would prefer their amusement stem from his shameless dumbassery, he is perfectly willing to sacrifice his own well-being for the sake of their happiness. When he had the chance to ask Fionn to stay with him and go down for the crime they'd committed together, Kieran instead convinced the other boy to leave him behind and save himself. Even in the throes of physical agony and shock brought about by having his leg pinned beneath the weight of a car and collapsed lift, Kieran's loyalty to his best friend and their crew overruled any other thought he'd had at the time.

For someone with expensive tastes, whose love of luxury goods and loose lovers has always come with a hefty price tag, Kieran is shockingly altruistic like his father and deeply sentimental, his most prized possessions including a photograph of the Jackals that he keeps in his wallet, and a cheap silver pendant with a red stone that was given to him by his step-sister before he ran away from home. He is someone whose gritty exterior suggests shady morals and cowardice but belies a softer side given to innocent playfulness and the fierce protection of those he loves. He doesn't shy away from pain or the threat of dying, convinced that someone as broken and defective as him surely deserves to suffer—but, like a moth to the flame, Kieran is equally unable to resist acts of kindness. Even if such things may confuse his pea-sized brain and cause him to panic, even if he thinks himself unworthy, he longs for love, family, and above all else, wholeness.

「 Game Info 」
Job Placement
Charisma – albeit lacking any verbal sophistication, he can be surprisingly charming and persuasive (when he's not shoving his foot into his big stupid mouth, that is)
Endurance – physically large, strong, and possessing an abnormally high pain tolerance and capacity for bouncing back from severe injury, great stamina, and a relatively high tolerance towards alcohol and other narcotics
Fighting – particularly hand-to-hand combat or combat with small handheld weapons, such as knives, which was honed by having spent many years living on the streets and running with a gang of thieves
Physical Intimacy – whether it's just providing comfort or providing sexual gratification, his well of experience runs as deep as it does wet
Stealth – including, but not strictly limited to, simple (not complex or technological) breaking and entering, lock picking, pick-pocketing, tracking, and the careful transportation of goods

Sex Work
Yes. Any and all forms of sex work are fine. His personal comfort level will diminish gradually in any instance that requires him to show his prosthetic leg but, regardless of that fact, he won't outright refuse any sexual line of work.

Faction Placement
(East and North are really tied for first place. He's a shameless tramp, but his protective tendencies would easily and, perhaps inevitably, lead him towards pursuing bodyguard work on his own, paid or otherwise. He likes fighting as much as he likes sex, and hates seeing others get bullied.)

2) Kita
3) Minami
